Public Question Time
Essex Police Authority meetings are open to
the public and you are welcome to attend and if you
wish, put a question to the Chairman. Dates of meetings are on
this website.
If you would like to ask a question, tell a
Member of the Police Authority Staff at the meeting. They will help
you and make sure that the correct procedure is followed.
You will have the opportunity to ask your
question early in the meeting and a microphone will be available if
needed. The Chairman will answer your question in person or refer
it to someone else to be answered. If time permits, supplementary
questions may be possible.
The question and the answer given will be
recorded in the minutes of the meeting and a copy will be sent to
you.
Questions should be of a strategic nature
about the police service generally – we cannot answer questions
about specific cases or officers. It is better to refer local
issues to the Divisional Commander in your area, or to your local
Neighbourhood Action Panel.
If you cannot attend a meeting to put your
question in person or if you would like further information about
Essex Police Authority, please contact The Chief Executive, 3
Hoffmanns Way, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 1GU or contact by email on
epa@essex.pnn.police.uk or
telephone 01245 291600.
