Below you’ll find a list of support organisations and charities who
have experienced staff on hand to offer confidential support,
advice and counselling. They’re waiting for your call.
Centre for Action on Rape and
Abuse
Based in Colchester, CARA is a
confidential support service for women and young people who have
been raped, sexually abused or assaulted either recently or in the
past by a stranger, friend or family member.

South Essex Rape and
Incest Crisis Centre
SERICC covers
Basildon, Thurrock and Brentwood and supports women and girls aged
13 and over who have been raped, sexually assaulted or experienced
any form of attempted sexual assault.
SERICC runs a free help / counselling phone line.
All counsellors are
female and the helpline can be reached on 01375 380609 and is open
Wednesday 10am to noon, Thursday noon to 4pm and Saturday 10am to
1pm.

Support

Wales
Rape Crisis provides a range of
specialist services for women and girls who have been raped or
experienced another form of sexual violence as children or
adults.
