2SMART tour takes to the road
Young people from schools across Tendring will be the first to
see 2SMART 2010 when the tour starts in Clacton on Thursday, March
4.

2SMART is an Essex Police project which aims to give young people
advice about knives, bullying, alcohol and drugs via music, dance,
sport and drama.
Almost 2,000 year seven pupils will see the 2SMART 2010 show at The
Princes Theatre, Clacton.
Pupils from Clacton County High School, Tendring Technology
College, Clacton Coastal Academy and The Harwich School will attend
one of two showings on the day.
Chief Inspector Jon Hayter, district commander for Clacton, said:
“The 2SMART roadshows are an excellent way for us to get important
messages across to young people in a way that they will
remember.
“The show is vibrant and exciting, and includes advice around
bullying, as well as messages about the dangers of alcohol, drugs
and knives.
“2SMART is more than just a roadshow, it is the backbone of the
Essex Police youth strategy and is further supported by teachers
and police schools officers back in the classroom throughout the
year.”
