Harry Basil Wick - Essex County Constabulary.
Served from 20th May 1912.
Killed 28th December 1915.

Basil Wick was a native of Little Eversden in Cambridgeshire who served with Essex County Constabulary from 20th May 1912 to 31st May 1915.

He enlisted into the army at Colchester and served as Private PS/7602 in the 19th Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers. Pc Wick, who was unmarried, was killed in action on Tuesday 28th December 1915. He is buried in grave I. D. 16. at the Woburn Abbey Cemetery near Cuinchy in Pas de Calais, France, and is commemorated on war memorials in both Little Eversden and Duxford.
