Parking: |
There is no parking at Headquarters during weekday working hours. We recommend you park at the public car parks in Wharf Road or at Riverside Ice and Leisure (Victoria Road). Parking is available for evening visits and at weekends in the Orchard car park, located next to the museum. |

For disabled access and parking please contact us in advance of your visit. We have disabled parking spaces which we can reserve in advance. Guided tour available in audio and large print format. |

From Chelmsford town centre, follow Springfield Road north and turn right at the traffic lights next to Chelmsford Prison into Sandford Road. Take next road left after Lionmede Park into the Essex Police HQ approach road. Pass Gainsborough Crescent on the right and the museum is before the car park on the left.
From the Army and Navy roundabout and approaches from the south, take the Chelmer Road exit towards Chelmer Village bearing left at the next roundabout. At the traffic lights, turn left into Sandford Road. Take the fourth turning on the right (just before Lionmede Park) into the Essex Police HQ approach road. Pass Gainsborough Crescent on the right and the museum is before the car park on the left.
