Education
All of our education sessions are free for schools and have been created carefully to link with the National Curriculum and QCA schemes of work.
The main education programme is aimed at Key Stage 1 & 2 children and can be downloaded here.
Our sessions encourage cross-curricular learning and cover the subjects of citizenship and history (Victorians & WW2) All sessions are delivered by the Museum Curator.
Coaches too expensive?
We understand that for some schools it may be difficult to arrange a trip to the Museum, so we can come to you instead! Alternatively, sessions can be loaned to schools and delivered by the class teacher. Teacher's notes, resources, and prep and follow up activities are available for all sessions.

Web based learning
We run live internet sessions on Victorian Crime and Punishment. To find out more, visit the Engagelive website.
Special Educational Needs - Museum based learning
Essex Police Museum is a great venue for special educational needs groups, with full wheelchair access and a wide variety of interactive and multi-sensory displays for special schools.
