Update

Rural burglaries have increased in the Crouch ward.
Farm buildings and Barns are being broken into. Property’s that back onto farmland are being targeted that have un-overlooked access.
Please think about your security, close and secure your gates and outbuildings with good quality locks overnight. If the buildings are away from the main residence close off access routes and install good security lighting.
If you see anything suspicious call the Police immediately.

Have a look at our Be Safe section of the website to find out more about keeping your home safe. Or call us on our mobile 07969 365610 for advice.
If you have a 5 lever security lock always lift the handle up and lock it. This enables all 5 locks and not just a small single central latch. Make sure all your family are fully aware of where the keys are kept for safety.

We would like to set up community speed watch and Neighbourhood watch in the Noak Bridge Village and Steeple view area. If you would like to volunteer to help protect the community you live in please call 07969 365610 or contact us via email.paul.merritt@essex.pnn.police.uk sam.rayner@essex.pnn.police.uk

Burglaries are on the increase across the district and we would remind people to make sure that they do not leave their house and car keys on display so that people looking into your property can see them.

As the weather is getting better supposedly! and people are leaving their windows open at night time can we remind you that if you are going to leave them open can they be locked open and to make sure that back doors are locked. Just recently we have been noticing an increase of theft from motor vehicles whereby people are having windows smashed to their vehicles and sat navs and handbags removed from back and front seats. Please make sure that all valuables that you must leave in a car - which is not the above ones - should be hidden from view to stop the opportunist damaging your vehicle and stealing your property.

You can take action in a number of ways to help make your neighbourhood a safer place to live, work and visit.
