I have worked in Essex Police for more than seven years and have been a PCSO in Vange for nearly three years. I cover the Barstable estate to Luncies Road area of Vange. Along with my regular duties I also work closely with the sheltered housing schemes in my area.

I am Helen Damiano and I am a PCSO on Vange. I cover the 3/4 estate and the Sunnedon area of Vange. I have worked on this area for over 3 years. My aim is to engage with the community and make the area a better place to live.

PCSO Dean Chesterman (Collar number 73385)

I am Dean Chesterman and I am one of your PCSO's for Vange. I have been a member of Essex Police for 15 months. My beat covers the surrounding areas of Luncies Road, the Riverview Centre and Sandon Road. My main aim for the community is to improve youth facilities in Luncies Park and the green area in Stagden Cross.

Reported offences of damage to vehicles, theft of vehicles and theft from vehicles have increased slightly over the past two weeks. - The local NPT are increasing their HVP patrols during the core times.

Update

We are very pleased with some of the results we have had this month and the help we have had from members of the community.

***Update written Wednesday 18th January 2012***
In response to our recent increase in vehicle crime Operation JUTE has been working in the ward. This operation provides a number of police officers dedicated to stopping and searching suspicious persons and vehicles.

***Update written Wednesday 9th November 2011***
Officers from the NPT on Operation KEMP arrested three males in Southview Road on suspicion of drug supply and road traffic offences. One male has been charged with possession of a class B drug, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and tkaing a vehicle without the owner's consent. The two other males, one a 15 year boy, were bailed for drug supply offences. Some fantastic proactive work by our officers and we want this to be a warning to all those that supply drugs in Vange, "We will catch you".


***Update written Sunday 21 August 2011***
Officer's Pc Andy Heard and Pc Adam Blackwell chased and arrested a male suspect after locating a quantity of cannabis he attempted to dispose of whilst walking with a friend in Vange. The male has now been charged and remanded to court.

***Update written Thursday 21 July 2011***
Earlier this month Pc Andy Heard was on patrol overnight in the area of Kirby Road when he recieved a call that a bike was being stolen in Linford Drive. Pc Heard went to scene and arrested two suspects and recovered the bike. One suspect attempting to steal the bike and made off from the scene. The two male suspects arrested are currently on bail pending further enquiries.

Operation Bubble has seen offences fall in the Vange area but we will continue to patrol and bring offenders to justice.

***Update written Monday 23rd May 2011***
Officers are conducting high visibility patrols in Vange to combat an increase in dwelling burglary and car crime. Operation Bubble has been introduced to place more officers in the ward to decrease crime. During the last four days we are please to report there have been no incidents of dwelling burglary or vehicle. We will keep you updated.

***Update written Wednesday 4th May 2011***
We have seen an increase in overnight burglary offence in Vange. Please keep all our windows and doors locked at night to avoid opportunist criminals an easy ride. We are increasing our patrols during the time to combat this.

***Update written Tuesday 29th March 2011***
Our drugs and theft crackdown has now seen over 50 individuals now brought to justice in just 2 months who had been offending in you area. Thank you to all our residents for your continued support. Due to the success of our drugs and theft crackdown in February we have decided to extend it until the end of March. Working together with our colleagues from the Pitsea South East ward the current total for offenders brought to justice is 43. We would like to extend a big thank you to all of our residents who have remained vigilant and assisted us in achieving these great results so far.

We are pleased to announce that our drugs and theft crackdown has yielded a massive return of over 30 offenders brought to justice in just one month. This could not have been achieved without the support of you the community and the dedication and hardwork of Pc Andy Heard and our Pitsea South East Constables Pc Adam Blackwell and Pc Ben Gribble.


***Update written Saturday 19th February 2011***
Since our last update we are pleased to inform you that we have dealt with almost 20 drug offences in Vange and the Pitsea South East area so far this month. Working closely with the members of the community and our colleagues on the Pitsea South East ward we have encorporated our crackdown to include issues of public order, alcohol fuelled offences and theft. We will continue to proactively target those individuals that possess drugs, commit public order and steal in our community.

This month Vange NPT will be operating a zero tolerance crack down on drug possession in the ward. We will update you with our results next month.
