Update

The Bocking Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and Greenfields Community Housing have been working with residents to identify a particular property that was causing anti-social behaviour. We are pleased to report that this went to court and an eviction was finalised.

As a team we are always keen to identify people that cause anti-social behaviour in the area. We would like to thank all those local residents who helped us make sure the anti-social behaviour did not continue.

The bike post-coding event at John Bunyan School has been successful with 17 bikes being photographed and recorded. We aim to make it easier to identify stolen pedal cycles.

We are looking to start a Neighbourhood Action Panel (NAP) on the Fairview Estate, The Glebe and Church Street, Bocking and are currently recruiting members.

If you want to help the community and are willing to give up some time please contact the team for more information.

*********** Important Information ***********

We have recently had an increase in theft from vehicles that are left unlocked over night.

Please can everyone remember to secure their cars and vans whenever they are left unattended and keep all belongings out of sight.

We are doing all we can to catch the people responsible but help us by not leaving yourself open to crime.

Speedwatch has now been re-launched, we will be concentrating on the usual priority areas. The Bocking team would like to send their sincere thanks to the Speedwatch team for voluntarily giving up their time on a regular basis to help promote their activities in our priority areas. Their efforts are very much appreciated.

We are actively monitoring particular areas of Bocking for nuisance mini-motos. However recent robust actions by the Bocking Neighbourhood Policing Team has seen a decrease in this activity. Section 59s have been issued and we continue to patrol the area.

We have recently had a spate of pedal cycle thefts from the Bocking area, please ensure your sheds and outbuildings are secure and be extra vigilant especially after dark.

PLEASE NOTE: OUR MOBILE TELEPHONE NUMBER HAS CHANGED TO 07792 814495. This is with immediate effect and is now a centralised mobile number for the whole of Braintree rather than being specific to Bocking. Please leave a message on the answerphone or with a colleague and we will make contact with you at our earliest possible convenience.
