Parking through out the village.

Raised on 16/04/2012

Action

It has come to our attention that vehicles are parking inconsiderably through out the village, on grass verges, at the end of a junction, on double yellows and on the pavement. We advised people to be mindful of were they park, PCSO will be patrolling the village and were needed owners of vehicles will be spoken to.

Update

We aim to make sure the Hedinghams remain a safe place to live and work.

We have been getting a number of dwelling burglaries occurring throughout North Essex including the Hedimgham's.
Any vehicles straying onto land where they shouldn't be should be, along with and/or people acting suspiciously should be reported to your local policing team.
If you feel you may have information that could be of relevance, please contact your local policing team.
We offer a free property marking scheme where we can visit you in your own home and mark property in various ways, making it far easier to identify anything that could be stolen. We can also organise advice with regards to security through our Crime Prevention Officer. Please contact us at Halstead police station for further details.
Now that the lighter evenings are on their way we need to be vigilant about nuisance youths in and around the Recreation Park so any suspicious incidents and anti social behaviour issues, please contact a member of the team. We will endeavour to monitor this over the forthcoming months.

We must not forget our smaller villages that are also covered by the Hedinghams. These include the Henny's, Twinstead, the Maplesteads, Bures and Wickham St Paul. To also cater for the smaller villages, we have the Mobile Police Station, which parks up in Bures and Alphamstone, as well as Sible and Castle Hedingham, we welcome people to pop in and have a chat.
Please also be vigilant if you are a van owner as the current trend not just locally but nationally is the theft of catalytic convertors being stolen and sold on to scrap metal dealers so if you own a van make sure of your own security when parking it at home, if you need further advice please contact our Crime Prevention Officer.

You can take action in a number of ways to help make your neighbourhood a safer place to live, work and visit.
