Update

Spring is here and the warmer weather is on the way we ask residents to remain vigilant and report anything suspicous to us. Sadly we have been experiencing a steady increase in Dwelling Burglaries across the Chelmsford District, we are asking for members of the public to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious or any information however insignificant to us on 0300-333-4444 or 0800-555-1111 (this can be anonymous). We have recieved several reports of small fires in the area of Church green to the rear of Jubilee Avenue, the fire service are aware but if you have any information please call us on the mobile listed.

We have been experiencing a small ammount of reports of Anti-Social behaviour around Broomfield Hospital, if you have any information on this matter please contact PCSO McDonald on 07837-160049. Alternitavly PCSO McDonald will be running a Beat Surgery atthe Hospital throughout the year and would be more than happy to see you to discuss any issues you might have. Please click on "Events" to find out dates and times. Recently some restorative justice work has been completed at Broomfield Hospital where by offenders have been collecting litter from around the Hospital.

I am pleased to say that as a whole the Broomfield and Walthams crime has greatly reduced. Good work with local residents and partner agencies ahs lead to a decrease in Anti-Social Behaviour incidents.

The Broomfield Neighbourhood Action Panel have decided that their Policing Priorities for this period are, Anti-Social Behaviour at Broomfield Hosptial and Anti-Social Behaviour at Nash Drive, Broomfield. The next meeting will be the 19th of January 2012 at 19:30.

The Walthams and Ford End Neighbourhood Action Panel have decided that there are no priorities for this period. The next meeting will be at Great Waltham British Legion club NO DATE SET AS OF YET.

Crime figures are generally down, but we still ask people to be vigilant and call us, using 999, if they see anything suspicious, especially in and around vulnerable people and their homes. There have been 11 reports to Police of Anti-Social Behaviour in the Broomfield area but none of these involved nuisance youths which is a great improvement

With the good work PCSO Calleja has done in running the Broomfield youth club and by the Broomfield, the Waltham's & Ford End team, nuisance youth calls have reduced. However we remain vigilant.

The youth club is being held at the football club in Broomfield on Thursdays between 7-9.30pm. We currently have 40 members. This has been successful and all children are welcome. If you would like to be a volunteer please email or contact one of the team. PCSO Calleja is the main point of contact for this initiative. Now open from 12th of January 2012 until approximately May 2012 until the Autumn.

The team have been working hard with dealing with your local issues, PCSO McDonald has set up an Operation GRIFFEN on the Hospital site to deal with any issues around thefts at the site, if you have any information about this please feel free to contact him on his mobile.

Please contact the team on 07817-454525 or at Chelmsford Police Station, New Street 0300-333-4444 or 101 if you have any issues
