Update
In this current time of disruption Harlow Neighbourhood team would
like to assure all residents that as yet there has been no
disruption/trouble in Harlow.
If you have any concerns or information please contact us.
26/01/2011. There has been a marked increase in the amount of
burglaries in the HARLOW area recently. Often the houses targeted
have the new UPVC front doors. If your house has one of these then
please ensure that you not only lock your door by lifting up the
handle but also double lock it with the key. Please remember to
keep your house secure and your valuables safe. Do not leave
anything on display inside your house.
As security around cars becomes tighter, criminals are increasingly
looking for new ways to steal vehicles. This has resulted in house
breaks in order to steal car keys. Do not leave anything on display
in your home and ensure that house keys and car keys are kept
hidden away and not kept near to the front door.
View the Be Safe section of our website for crime prevention
advice.
Parking in the area is still a problem, people are blocking paths,
roads, parking on yellow lines, hazard lines and obstructing
traffic and pedestrian flow. Any people found to be committing an
offence under the Road Traffic Act, by where they are parking, will
be issued a ticket. This is a large problem outside Brocklesmead,
Milwards School, Kingsmoor Prayer Centre and St James School.
Staple Tye:
Due to the rise in Anti-Social Behaviour in the Staply Tye and
surrounding areas, if you wish to talk to anyone about either being
the victim of Anti-Social Behaviour or if you think a family member
is involved in causing Anti-Social Behaviour then please contact us
and we will try to help in anyway possible.
Anyone seen causing graffiti in the Gibb Croft area will be
arrested. If you have any information about who is doing this then
please contact us with details.
Kingsmoor and Sumners:
If you have any information about anti-social behaviour in the area
of the crematorium or information regarding the smoking of cannabis
in the flat blocks of Little Cattins and Brocklesmead, including
information on drug dealing or nuisance youths, please call
us.
There have been recent reports of theft from motor vehicles in this
area. Please ensure that you leave nothing on display in your car
or van and take all valuables with you when you park. Make sure
that your car is definitely secure.
There are also an increased number of incidents being reported by
residents in relation to criminal damage to cars parked in the
BROCKLESMEAD AREA. If you see anybody causing damage to cars in any
area then please call us.
You can take action in a number of ways to help make your
neighbourhood a safer place to live, work and visit.
