Steven Wright

SGT Steven Wright (Collar number 2446)

Hello, my name is Steven Wright and I am a Sergeant on the Neighbourhood Policing Team in Harlow. I have over twenty years policing experience working for Essex Police. I started my policing career in Saffron Walden and have since worked at Braintree, Epping, Loughton and Harlow. I have a broad policing background serving in uniform throughout my service. I have worked as both a Response Officer as well as more recently on the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, as one of the local Sergeants supervising a small dedicated team of Police officers and Police Community support officers. I look forward to the challenge and continued work to improve the community by reducing crime and anti social behaviour. I intend to work with my team to develop local contacts and policing plans and to serve the local residents and wider community of Harlow. I am committed to my current role and look forward to the challenge ahead.

Rob Cox

Hello, my name is Rob Cox and I am a Sergeant on the Neighbourhood Policing Team. I have 24 years policing experience, and have in the past been a training officer and a dog handler as well as Response and Neighbourhood officer at Constable and Sgt rank. We have a committed team of officers and together we intend to maintain a visible and accessible service to address your Neighbourhood issues. We share strong links with partners in our local services and the council, as well as local businesses and we will look to continue forging new links in the community.

Hello, I am your neighbourhood officer and I have been a police officer for over five years. My goals for the neighbourhood are to reduce crime, decrease anti social behaviour and proactively target dwellings using and allowing the production of drugs. I have worked in Harlow as a Police Community Support Officer for the past 6 and a half years. I currently cover Harlow West. My aim as a PCSO is to provide a visible police presence in your community, helping to tackle crime, anti-social behaviour and support members of the community who have been victims of crime.

PCSO Elaine Mager (Collar number 8897)

I am The Dedicated PCSO for Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Derwent Centre. In addition to the Hospital I also cover two small catchment areas just off hospital grounds, these include Little Parndon School, Family Moisaic Centre and The Maples Respite Centre which are located on Hodings Road and Hare Street School and the Meadows Children’s Centre located on Harberts Road. I have worked for Essex Police for over 24 years covering various roles and have been a PCSO for the last 5 years. Drug taking, Litter and continual ASB in MORLEY GROVE WOODS

Police have been conducting High visibilty patrols and working with partnership agencies - We have over the last 6 months executed drug warrants in the nearby areas, encouraged the council to increase litter picking and conduct patrols in the area which has resulted in person(s) being stopped and searched

April 2014 Update
Changes to resident parking in the Hides has been highlighted as a real concern as a result of this a petition is being proposed by the residents present at the neighbourhood meeting.
Speeding on FIRST Avenue at rush hours including the local buses is also a concern. We will be conducting speed checks
Vehicles fully obstructing the pavement in the Dashes has been highlighted as an issue and it was agreed that we will be conducting patrols as a short term solution but that contact is required to the parking partnership.
Youths were reported as congregating in the top floor of the block beside 18 SPRINGHILLS, this is a large open room and the door has been broken off. This was reported to the council and repaired, since then the youths have not returned
A homeless person has been sleeping in the bin store in the block beside 18 SPRINGHILLS, This has been reported to the council who shall be repairing the door.
Youths have been congregating outside COLT HATCH and we are increasing our patrols now that the warm summer evenings are here.
TORKILSDEN WAY new development
A drug warrant was executed at a property in BOWHILL WAY, A male was arrested and charged for possession of herbal cannabis.
Complaints have been received regarding a noisy property in TORKILSDEN WAY, we have conducted visits and informed the landlord about this and since then there has been no further reports
Parking in the MEWS has been highlighted as a current issue and the residents association are compiling at letter with images to the parking partnership
Drug dealing and litter has increased again in the MORLEY GROVE WOODLAND. Our patrols have increased in an attempt to deter this kind of anti-social behaviour, Our partnership agencies including KIER have also increased their patrols and litter picking.
The HIDES a cannabis factory was discovered, two persons have been arrested for cultivating 18 cannabis plants
