District commander update
I am very proud to have the opportunity to serve as District
Commander for the Maldon District.
By: T/Chief Insp Matt Twomey
Having previously worked in the area as a Neighbourhood
Inspector and critical incident Inspector, I am committed to
continuing the drive to reduce instances of crime and antisocial
behaviour. These have continued to fall year on year
resulting in the district being one of the lowest crime areas in
Essex.
Maldon district is supported by an excellent team of community
partners, response officers and neighbourhood constables who fully
understand the issues that arise in the area. In addition to this,
further force level resources are at the district’s disposal.
By fully utilising the resources and skills available, and
working closely with partner agencies, we are committed to ensuring
that the good people of Maldon district can continue to enjoy the
vibrant community life of this area to the fullest. Equally,
we will be relentless in our pursuit of those who choose to commit
crime in the area, and we will do our utmost to bring offenders to
justice where ever possible.
Your policing team and I are working hard to improve still
further the service we deliver to you and to meet all the standards
set out within our Service Standards. If you are concerned about
the quality of service you have received from us or have any
suggestions on how we can improve please contact the team direct on
