Drug Dealing and Anti-social Behaviour in Beach Road,
Raised on 07/01/2014
Numerous reports had been received by both the police and the
Community Safety Partnership regarding drugs being both used and
supplied by the occupants of an address in Beach Road, Clacton.
They were the cause of an increase of anti-social behaviour with
their activities. Police actioned searched warrants under the
Misuse of Drugs Act and made arrests. On Tuesday 15th July an order
was successfully obtained from the courts for a premises closure to
take place as the evidence obtained showed that the occupants were
involved with drugs and anti-social behaviour. This means that the
occupants now cannot return to the premises for three months.
Feedback has already been received in relation to the improvement
in quality of life to the residents in the local area. We continue
to strive to reduce the supply of drugs within the local area and
welcome any information from the public.
