Update
Crimes recorded during April 2012 included the following:-
3 x assault;
3 x criminal damage in Parkeston;
5 x theft including two caravans stolen from a farm in
Wrabness.
If you have any information regarding any crimes or incidents in
your area please contact Harwich Police or Crimestoppers on the
contact numbers shown or via email. Your information could assist
us with our enquiries and possibly stop the offenders carrying out
further crimes in your area.
DWELLING BURGLARIES - There have been some recent dwelling
burglaries in Harwich. An Operation has been initiated to combat
this new activity with the intention to disrupt and detain the
burglars.
Please report any suspicious activity to Police immediately. Your
call could help prevent a burglary and save someone from the trauma
of being burgled.
Be on your guard against opportunist burglars and thieves by
keeping valuables out of sight from passers by whether you are at
home or out and about with shopping in your car. Sheds are
particularly vulnerable and should be secured as robustly as
possible.
Please remove or conceal items such as SatNavs in vehicles,
including the screen holder, when leaving your vehicle even if for
a short period of time. It takes just a few seconds for these items
to be stolen and a lot of time sorting out the resulting damage to
vehicles etc.
As always, please feel free to contact me or Ray Aylott regarding
any other local issues which matter to you.
If I am not made aware of a specific problem then I will not be
able to help resolve it, so please contact me by email, telephone
0300 333 4444 extension 445128 or 07711 147176 or in person when
you see me out and about.
You can take action in a number of ways to help make your
neighbourhood a safer place to live, work and visit.
