Thurrock District is currently 1055 crimes lower on last year's
figures which means 1055 fewer victims of crime.

Above: Chief Insp Paul Moor
I would like to thank my officers, our partners and the
community in achieving this position. These are challenging times
and it has been the hard work, commitment and greater community
engagement that has enabled this to happen.
Anti-social behaviour continues to be a problem within Thurrock,
but with the work we are carrying out with our partners at the
council and the anti social behaviour team we will continue to
support the community in making Thurrock a vibrant place of choice
to work and live.
We now have 17 nominated neighbourhood specialist officers in
place who are ward based and are supported by our police community
support officers. Each NSO has been hand picked for their
dedication and attributes. They have all been busy introducing
themselves to the community and arranging a variety of engagement
opportunities which include beat surgeries and the deployment of
the mobile police station. The dates of these are advertised on our
webpage.
This year as well as striving to achieve further reductions in
crime and increase detections I will be focusing on the quality of
the service we provide. Along with our partners I would welcome
more contributions and feedback from our young people and those
from minority groups . We will not always get things right but I
aim to provide a service that the Thurrock community should expect
and deserve.
If you have any questions or issues you would like to bring to
my attention, please feel free to email me through the internet
site.
