Below you can read about the issues that you have made a priority in your neighbourhood. We aim to act on the issues that matter the most to you.

Local Priority

Issue

Anti Social Behaviour Lodge lane Shops

Raised on 16/08/2011

Action

As the current top priority for the area - anti-social behaviour from youths in the evenings after school and at weekends located along Lodge Lane by the shops in Grays East. 1) PCSOs to be tasked with conducting high-visibility foot and bicycle patrols in and around these areas during the specified hours to deter anti-social behaviour. 2) Any offenders caught, full details to be taken to keep track of repeat offenders so more direct and appropriate action can be taken against these individuals including letters home and ASBO's to be considered. 3) Dispersal Order in place on and around Lodge Lane shops. 4) Beat Mobile supplied to officers to take calls directly from members of the public in order to deal with this issue quickly and more effectively by cutting out the middle man (please look on the contact page of website for details). UPDATE 21st April 2012: We have seen a slight increase for calls to the area for ASB, compared to recent weeks, however we will continue to patrol the area and monitor this.

Update

Burglaries in Grays East whilst showing a dramatic reduction of over 50% from this time last year along with all crime for the area. This will still remain a priority to keep up these positive results and extra measures in place to help reduce crime such as neighbourhood watch in hot spot roads and extra high visibility patrols and regular stop checks and searches - specifically in hot spot areas and peak hours. (please see current local priorities and their updates for more information).

Anti Social Behaviour for the area whilst reduced is still a focus, and occurs around the playing field areas such as The Dipping Park, Delafield's, Hillside and Oval Gardens. The shops on Lodge Lane have also been a hot spot for this type of behaviour. High visibility patrols will be carried out in and around these main areas particularly week day evenings after school finishes and weekends to help deter Anti Social Behaviour. The Dispersal Order that is in place around the Lodge Lane shops is in place till July 2012.

We are also liasing with council to try and get moving street cameras put in place which will help with the reduction of both burglary crime and anti social behaviour.

We have a whole section on our website called Be Safe – this section gives you tips and advice on how to keep your home and property safe. If you need any further information please call us on 07885224998.
