Great Dunmow remains a relatively low crime neighbourhood but we recognise that if you have been a victim or witness of crime the perception may be very different.

In order to combat this fear of crime we will continue with high visibility patrols in the town. We also engage on a regular basis with partner agencies such as the local council and housing associations to find alternative ways to combat crime and address other issues in the neighbourhood.

Great Dunmow has suffered a number of damages to motor vehicles in the Willow Road and The Avenue areas. This has involved scratching to paintwork and damaging of tyres. The activity of Watch members can foster a new Community Spirit and belief in the community’s ability to tackle problems in partnership with the Police, Local Council and Businesses.
