Can you help police identify these men?

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify two men they wish to speak to in connection with a purse theft at Asda, Pipps Hill retail park, Basildon.

On Thursday, March 3, 2011 the female victim had her purse stolen from her handbag whilst she was on the way back to her car. It contained cards and £40 cash.

The suspects have then used the card to withdraw money from her account and used it in a number of shops. An estimated £1,000 was stolen from the debit and credit cards.

Investigating officer, Pc Amy Joynson, said: "We believe the suspects may have watched the victim enter her pin number at the checkout, and she has lost an extensive amount of money, and had to go through all the hassle of getting the money back from the bank fraud departments, which is something no one should have to do.

"We want to speak to the men pictured in the CCTV as part of our enquiries, so if you recognise them, please call us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pc Amy Joynson at Pitsea police station on 0300 333 4444 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
