Gas canisters stolen in Braintree
Police seeking information about the theft of four Calor gas
canisters from Dale Hire, Albert Road, Braintree between 9pm and
10pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 have released CCTV.
Just after 9pm a dark estate car was seen arriving at the front of
the premises and two men got out and walked off.
They are then seen forcing a gate at the side of the yard. This is
the first CCTV still.
About 15 minutes later a light coloured car, containing two people
arrives and the stolen canisters are loaded into the rear, and it
drives off. This is the second CCTV still.
Just after 10pm the two men from the estate car return to it and
drive away.
An unrelated car, possibly a Renault Megane, parked next to the
estate car at 9.18pm and police would like to hear from the driver,
who may have valuable information.
The stolen canisters were orange and 3 x 19 kg and 1 x 13kg.
