Police make 23 arrests at Dale Farm

Police at Dale Farm have today, Wednesday, October 19, 2011, arrested 23 people for various offences including violent disorder, breach of the peace and obstruction.

Those arrested are continuing to be booked in to custody suites but the current breakdown is as follows:

A 19-year-old man from Aylesbury, arrested on suspicion of violent disorder

A 26-year-old man who gave no address, arrested on suspicion of a public order offence

A 34-year-old man who gave no address, arrested on suspicion of a breach of the peace

A 26-year-old woman from Hounslow, arrested on suspicion of failing to remove a face covering when requested to do so

A 44-year-old woman from London SE15, arrested on suspicion of obstructing a bailiff

A woman from London E8 who did not give a date of birth, arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer

A woman from Bridport, Dorset, who did not give a date of birth, arrested on suspicion of obstructing a bailiff

A man who refused to give any details, arrested on suspicion of obstructing a bailiff

A 48-year-old man from Basildon, arrested on suspicion of obstructing a bailiff

Police, working with bailiffs, have cleared protestors from the upper part of the scaffolding. There remains some people locked on to the lower parts.
