Brush up on your detective skills at Essex Police Museum

Aspiring young police detectives can brush up on their skills at Essex Police Museum on August 18.

The ‘become a police detective’ event will give children a chance to write in invisible ink, learn about fingerprints and make a detective door hanger.

Museum curator Becky Wash said: “Detectives have a fascinating role in policing. They search for clues using many methods, including fingerprints and the use of DNA.

“We want to give children an insight into being a detective while making it fun.”

This event is hands-on learning for children aged five and over.

Visitors are welcome at  Essex Police Museum, Police HQ, Sandford Road, Chelmsford, CM2 6DN between 11am and 4pm.

For further information on this event and others at Essex Police Museum contact the museum curator Becky Wash on 01245 457150 or email museum@essex.pnn.police.uk or visit www.essex.police.uk/museum
