Man charged after driving wrong way along A12

A 48-year-old man who drove the wrong way along the A12 near Colchester has been charged.

The man, who is from Halstead, has been charged with drink driving,dangerous driving, driving without third party insurance and failing to stop.

He was arrested after his car travelled the wrong way up the A12 on the evening of Saturday, March 26, 2011.

The man has been bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, April 28, 2011.
