Rare watch stolen in house burglary
Police have issued a picture of a rare Rolex watch that was
stolen in a house burglary in Billericay.

Between 11am and 1pm on Monday, August 8, 2011, suspects smashed a
front window of a house in Laindon Common Road in Little Burstead
and stole items worth around £9,410.
The stolen items included a large amount of jewellery, including a
rare antique Rolex watch from 1910, and a laptop.
Investigating officer, Dc Kelly Scott, said: "The watch is only one
of a few hundred that were ever made, and it has been passed down
through the victim’s family, so we really want to recover it for
him.
"If you have seen it or are approached to buy it, please do the
right thing and contact us. It is bad enough going through the
upset of being burgled, but to have a sentimental and irreplaceable
family heirloom stolen must be devastating.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Dc Kelly Scott
at the Basildon CID target team on 0300 333 4444 or call
Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
