Four-figure sum of cash stolen during robbery in Brentwood

Detectives are appealing for information about a robbery at a bookmakers in Brentwood in which a four-figure sum of cash was stolen.

A balaclava-clad man entered Coral on Ongar Road just after 7.30pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 and threatened staff before taking a four-figure sum of cash from the till.

The man then ran out. No weapon involved in the robbery.

The assailant is described as white and was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information in connection with this robbery is urged to contact detectives at Basildon police station on 101.
