Man arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery in Kelvedon Hatch
Update:
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery
following an incident at the Nisa store in Kelvedon Hatch,
Brentwood on July 29.
The 20 year old man from Pilgrims Hatch was arrested on August
6, questioned and released on bail until September 18 for further
enquiries.
Detectives are appealing for information after an attempted
robbery at a shop in Kelvedon Hatch on Sunday, July 29, 2012.

A masked man armed with a knife ordered a female member of
staff working at the Nisa Store to open the till at around
5.15pm.
The manager of the store in Blackmore Road rushed out from
a storeroom and started throwing boxes of canned beer at the
suspect who then fled empty-handed.
Investigating officer Dc Jo Phillips said: "This was an
extremely frightening incident for the shop assistant and the
customer who both feared for their safety when the man was waving
the knife at them.
"The shop manager was in the storeroom when he heard the
disturbance and rushed out and threw boxes of beer at the
suspect.”
