Murder investigation: Detectives continue to investigate death of man in Clacton
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances
surrounding the death of a 21-year-old man in Clacton.

Police were contacted at 10pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2011
following reports that a man had been stabbed on Wellesley
Road.
Officers arrived and found Liam Mearns with a number of stab wounds
to his body.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was certified dead at
the scene a short time later.
A provisional post-mortem examination result showed that the local
man died from a stab wound to the chest.
Twelve people were arrested in connection with the death. Seven
were subsequently released without charge while the remaining four
from Clacton are currently on police bail until Wednesday, March 14
pending further enquiries.
