Who are these men?

Detectives have released CCTV and are appealing for witnesses after the attempted robbery of a jewellers in Leigh.

Two men attempted to break into G Davison & Sons jewellers in Broadway by smashing the glass just before 11am on Thursday, August 2, 2012.

Staff activated an alarm and, after the suspects failed to smash through the toughened glass, they fled the scene through Leigh gardens.

The robbers are described as black and in their 20s. They are about 6ft tall, had their faces covered with scarves and were wearing gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at Southend on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
