Keeping Essex safe from above
The Essex Police
helicopter has a whole host of gadgets on board that help officers
keep Essex safe.
The gadgets include a thermal imaging camera, a spotter scope
with a powerful zoom, a mapping system which allows the crew to
navigate to any specific address, a search light to illuminate
areas, a public address system and aerial photography.
All these items have helped the team attend more than three
thousand incidents, find 140 missing people and make 300 arrests in
the past year.
