Can you help police identify burglars?
Police have released moving CCTV footage of a burglary in
progress in the hope that members of the public will be able to
help police identify the offenders.
Three men forced entry to the Co-op store in Rochford Way,
Frinton on Sea at 11.50pm on Saturday, June 23, 2012 and stole
boxes of cigarettes worth a four-figure sum.
The men stashed the cigarettes in a duvet cover before jumping
over the counter and fleeing the scene.
Sgt Pete Gerard is leading the investigation in to the burglary.
He said: “"The offenders in the burglary were brazen in their
actions. They continued with the crime even though the alarm
activated.
“I am hopeful that the clear images will lead to identification
and the arrest of the offenders"
Detectives are appealing for anyone who recognises the men to
call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
