Dedicated PCSO for Princess Alexandra Hospital
Essex Police and Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) have come
together in a new partnership which sees a dedicated Police
Community Support Officer (PCSO) based at the hospital .
PCSO Elaine Mager and Jim Talland,
Security Contracts Manager
PCSO Elaine Mager has taken on the dedicated new position at PAH
and the Derwent Mental Ill Health Centre in Harlow. The purpose of
her role is to deter criminal activity in the Trusts and offer a
reassuring presence to staff, patients and visitors.
Elaine explains: “Being on site and working with the hospital ’s
security managers means we have a joined up approach to dealing
with any incidents quickly and effectively.
“I will be holding a ‘beat surgery’ each week, which provides
everyone with an opportunity to pop to my office to seek advice or
provide information for police regarding issues in the Harlow area.
The dates for these surgeries will be posted outside my office and
will also be listed on the Essex Police website.”
Bill Dickson, Security
and Car Parking Manager said: “It is great to have our own
dedicated PCSO within the hospital buildings and grounds. The
service is invaluable and with such a great personality, Elaine
gets on very well with the staff, patients and visitors and has
already settled in.”
PCSO Mager is based on the ground floor of the hospital next to
the Security Office. She can be contacted by calling Essex Police
non-emergency number on 101 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
