Detectives investigating burglary release moving CCTV

Detectives investigating a burglary at a jewellers have released moving CCTV footage of a man they want to question.

Jewellery and cash worth an estimated £64,000 were stolen from the store in Dock Road, Tilbury at around 6.40am on January 13, 2012.

Detectives are urging anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV or who has information that could help them with their investigation to come forward.

Dc Chris Kench said: “The property had an effective security light installed so the suspect got a nasty surprise as he fled from the scene over a garden fence.

“We are very keen to speak to this man so please watch the footage closely and contact me or one of my colleagues at Thurrock Target Offender Team on 101 if you recognise him.”

Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
