CANVEY EAST - To reduce number of incidents of theft from motor vehicle reported to police. NAP members note increase in number of thefts reported to police over the past few months. Members suggest leaflets to be delivered to places on Canvey advertising that vehicles be secured and nothing left inside to attract thieves. Places identified are doctor/dentist surgeries, Knightwick Centre - 4/20/2010

NAP May - Police have pinpointed where the incidents have been taking place and patrolling those areas. Stop checks have been conducted in attempt to reduce these incidents.
CANVEY EAST - To reduce anti-social behaviour in Kismet Park, Weel Road. A new Olympic park has been erected in Kismet Park, which has attracted a number of youths to the area. Recent reports of youths have been received where youths are being loud and swearing. In addition, these youths are also throwing objects at peoples properties. The NAP members would like police to provide an added presence in the area to deter the youths from conducting in an anti-social manner and they believe an added presence will do this. - 4/20/2010

Since this was chosen as a priority there has been no reported incidents of ASB at Kismet Park and all patrols have confirmed that the olympic excerise park is being used appropriately. NAP no longer consider this to be a priority.
CANVEY WEST Anti-social behaviour in First Avenue, Second Avenue and Third Avenue. Police have received increased numbers of calls from residents in First, Second and Third Avenue reporting low level youth nuisance and anti-social behaviour. Gatherings of youths on street corners causes intimidation to residents and heightens fear and perception of crime. Stone throwing, foul language, illegal use of off road motorbikes and minor acts of damage are some of the issues raised. - 5/18/2010

Police led operation to increase time spent on high visibility patrols in the location at key times. Operation to include the deployment of officers on push bikes and the use of overt surveillance vehicles to record acts of anti-social behaviour and assist in identification of perpetrators. Positive action will be taken against individuals engaging in anti-social behaviour. Restraining orders and antisocial behaviour orders will be sought against the worst offenders. 09/06/2010 - Patrols on foot, bike and in vehicles continue around the estate to good effect. We are also regularly visiting the core offenders and priority offenders to monitor their activities. 20/07/2010 - Reported ASB has fallen in the housing estate but not around the shops on Third Avenue. Action is being taken to deal with those responsible.
CANVEY EAST - To reduce the number of reports of theft of pedal cycles in the area. Cycle Tagging events and security awareness are tactics suggested to do this. - 1/11/2011

Two cycle tagging events have been arranged during 2011 whereby in excess of 150 bicycles have been tagged and Crime prevention advice given to owners. Mobile patrols have been targeted accoring to Crime Trends
