Priorities for Rochford |
Local map and area covered
|
|
The local community priorities for Rochford are: We ask: Your local neighbourhood policing team along with our partners want to know the community issues which matter to you. You can come and tell us at one of the events below, submit a web contact form, call the team's mobile phone number or stop them in the street to tell them what matters to you. You say: The issues you tell us about are taken to a Neighbourhood Action Panel (NAP). At this meeting, representatives from your community will consider all the concerns raised and decide upon prioritised actions. We deliver: Working together we will address these priorities and keep you updated on progress. Click on your current community priorities above to view their progress and search those already completed. As part of our policing pledge to you, any issues you call us about which are listed as a neighbourhood priority will be attended within 60 minutes when attendance is required.

Actions and updates for Rochford |
|
Again like the previous months we have seen a decrease in anti-social behaviour and Halloween showed how far we have come with very little incidents occurring in the area.
A lot of this was down to the hard work of officers and PCSOs in the area with persons spoken to leading up to the evening and on the evening itself. Advice was given to persons regarding what was acceptable and expected behaviour of them when out on Halloween.
Focus has been paid to Halloween and Bonfire Night this month and officers have been out on high visibility patrols both on foot and in vehicles making sure nothing untoward goes on surrounding these events. This will continue to happen throughout the month leading up to the start of the festive season.
There is still a low amount of thefts from vehicles, garages and sheds occurring but security precautions must not stop. Please continue to lock your vehicle, garages and sheds at all times. We require you to all continue to do this in order to assist in stopping the crimes occurring. Continue to take in your sat navs, car radios and anything of value and ensure they are not left in view of anyone else. This also applies to fishing equipment and bicycles which are popular items to be stolen, make sure these are locked up in a safe place when not being used. If you have started your Christmas shopping early then please make sure you take all the presents into the house and put them out of sight.
Speeding in Rochford is still a priority so please keep your speed down. We are continuing to complete speed checks and we don’t advertise where we will be. Please keep your speed down at all times and with the winter weather setting in the roads can be a lot more dangerous so take your time to get where you need to be.
Please be aware or door to door salespeople and if you are not sure if the are legitimate ask to see ID or to speak to the company they work for. If you are not sure about them don’t let them into your property.
The team will continue to carry UV pens whilst out on patrol so please do stop us and ask us to postcode your items. We cannot postcode property for those aged under 17 years without an appropriate adult or parent present.
We can be contacted on out neighbourhood policing team (NPT) mobile or via the website should you have any issues you wish to discuss.
