Introducing your Community Policing Team
About us

Community policing is about local policing, listening to your concerns, acting upon issues that matter most to you and helping you feel more confident in your community. They are made up of police officers, Police Community Support Officers and Special Constables under the command of an Inspector.
The CPTs are there to protect people from harm, speak with communities about their concerns, gather information and help find answers to local problems. They work closely with the 14 Community Safety Partnership teams across Essex and also talk regularly with local authorities, other Emergency Services, Health providers and charities.
