Community policing is about local policing, listening to your concerns, acting upon issues that matter most to you and helping you feel more confident in your community. They are made up of police officers, Police Community Support Officers and Special Constables under the command of an Inspector.
The CPTs are there to protect people from harm, speak with communities about their concerns, gather information and help find answers to local problems. They work closely with the 14 Community Safety Partnership teams across Essex and also talk regularly with local authorities, other Emergency Services, Health providers and charities.
This is an opportunity to get to know some of the police officers and staff, who are protecting and serving your community. Police officers or Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) will be available to listen to your community concerns and answer your questions about local policing. Please note that the event may be cancelled at short noticed due to operational demands. Details of which will be posted on the district’s Facebook and Twitter pages. For more information, please contact the team using the contact us tab or by calling 101.
