We strive to tackle crime and improve public safety by patrolling the streets, investigating crime and listening to your concerns.
We’ve dedicated teams of officers to specific small areas known as neighbourhoods. Within each of these teams is a police officer who is on hand to listen to your concerns.
You can find out how to meet your Neighbourhood Specialist Officer and read about what they’re doing to help your community in My Neighbourhood.
Here are just a few of the other services we offer:
Crime reduction advice
We have a team of Crime Reduction Officers on hand throughout the county to give advice on how to keep you, your home and your belongings safe and secure.
Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS)
Allows our Chief Constable to accredit staff of organisations with powers to tackle graffiti, abandoned cars and anti-social behaviour. Why not get involved?
Encompasses Neighbourhood Watch, Business Watch, Horse Watch, Taxi Watch and Marine Watch.
You can apply for a licence online and read our safety guidelines.
