Essex Watch

There are many watches up and running throughout Essex. To improve communication between them we’ve created Essex Watch.

It doesn’t replace of take over existing organisations but provides a more co-ordinated approach and helps improve the flow of information between groups and Essex Police.

Watches currently up and running in Essex include:

Jenny Brouard, Community Safety Accreditation Scheme Co-ordinator, said: “Essex Watch will create a better flow of information coming into Essex police but also information coming from the force.

“We see it as a great opportunity for watches to become more of a community where they can share ideas and intelligence."

Essex Watch Liaison Officers

We’ve employed Essex Watch Liaison Officers who pass information from various groups in their area back to us and vice versa.

They also work closely with District Commanders, Crime Prevention Tactical Advisors, Architectural Liaison Officers and Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
