Travelling to RiZe

RiZe Festival is held in Hylands Park, a 574 acre park on the outskirts of Chelmsford town centre.

During the festival the surrounding roads can become very busy but you can find out up-to-date traffic information by following @Essex_Travel on Twitter or listening to BBC Essex (95.3FM or 105.5FM), Radio Essex (105.1FM or 107.7FM), Heart Essex (102.6FM)

By car

Drivers using the M25 should leave the motorway at junction 28, travel eastbound on the A12 until they reach junction 15 where they should take the A414 to Chelmsford.

The venue will be signposted along this stretch of road.

Drivers using the M11 should leave the motorway at junction 7 and travel eastbound on the A414 until they reach Chelmsford where Hylands Park will be signposted.

Parking

There is plenty of paid parking at Hylands Park and festival officials will be directing drivers to parking areas from entry gates.

There will be drop-off and pick-up points signposted which drivers can access from the A414.

Parking restrictions will be in place in surrounding areas, including the villages of Writtle and Widford together with clearway restrictions on grass verges.

Vehicles that do not adhere to these restrictions will be towed away and impounded, involving delays and costs to the owners.

By train

The nearest station is Chelmsford Railway Station. The station will be policed by officers from British Transport Police and there will be a return shuttle bus service from the station to Hylands Park.
