Castle Point is a borough in south Essex, about 30 miles east of central London. The district covers 28 square miles and borders Rochford, Basildon and Southend. It is intersected by the Hadleigh Ray river and sits on the Thames estuary. The borough has the towns and villages of Canvey Island, Hadleigh, Benfleet, and Thundersley. It has an estimated population of 90,000 people.
