The Tendring district is in the northeast of Essex. It borders the district of Colchester and 37 miles of coastline. The district covers around 130 square miles and has a population of around 148,100 people. The district's largest town is Clacton-on-Sea and is a popular coastal attraction. Other towns include, Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze, Brightlingsea, Harwich and Manningtree. Large villages include St. Osyth and Great Bentley.
