Data is provided on the offences recorded by Essex Police under the Home Office code ‘008/21 Owner of a dog allowing it to be dangerously out of control in public place and cause injury'. It is broken down by financial year and outcome type between 2017 and 2024.

Provided count of crimes for Essex under Home Office offence codes 71/17, 88/1 and 88/2 for fiscal years 2019 and 2020.

Offences under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 are not covered by the reasons for arrest on the Athena Custody system as this section is not a notifiable crime and does, therefore, not need to be submitted to the Home Office for Crime Statistics.
