Drink and Injection Spiking Offences 2021 and 2023
01 January 2021 to 30 June 2023
Figures for recorded offences involving cases of alleged injection (needle) and drink spiking. Contains monthly totals between 01 January 2021 and 30 June 2023 and breakdowns by suspect and victim age, suspect and victim gender and outcome between 01 January 2021 and 31 December 2022.
The volume of victims/suspects does NOT match the volume of offences recorded. This is due to inaccuracies within the data. If a crime report does not have a victim recorded against it, then this is not included in the victim age/gender data.
Whilst it is believed that this is the most accurate way to extract this data, there are likely to be some records contained within this that are not actually related to drink or needle spiking as some of these records have been identified via a keyword search.
