Please see the below schedule of fees following NPCC guidelines and meeting legislation governing the charging fee for disclosure and postal charge if applicable.
If disclosure or postal charge is applicable, details will be provided by Information Rights Unit and payment must be cleared before disclosure will be made.

Insurance Disclosures |

If you are acting for an ABI member the fees are as follows: App D(a) fee is £111.70 for basic details (crime ref/date/aggrieved/location) App D(a) fee for fuller information as above including incident and investigation report £158.90 Additional fees apply for other documentation – please advise if needed. The fees for non ABI Insurers are on the attached A98b. If applicable please ensure you provide the ABI member’s email address to allow disclosure. (until all the required information &/or payment is received, applications will be placed on hold and maybe closed if no response received.) |

ABI Members Only As agreed through the Association of British Insurers (ABI) memorandum of understanding with the National Police Chiefs Council, completed Appendix D(a) or E applications will only be considered from ABI members or agents acting on behalf of a member. If an eligible third party makes a request on behalf of an ABI member, the Insurer for whom they are acting must be provided on the relevant request form, with their contact details (email address preferrable) and the relevant police liaison officer. Insurers should note that The Police Service are unable to release information under an Appendix E request if their records do not support the suspicion that a crime has been committed Any disclosures will be provided direct to the ABI member police liaison contact for dissemination. If no email address is provided, no disclosure will be provided, the case file will be closed until details are provided. You may use the ABI generated form accessed via the ABI portal or if required Essex Police will provide you with a form for completion. All correspondence is via email, emails will be sent encrypted to a secure email address. |

Non-ABI members If you are an Insurance company or an individual company but not an ABI member or acting on behalf of an ABI member and information is required for the purposes of validating a claim, please complete an A98b (non-ABI disclosure form for Insurance). Any other application/form will be rejected. The associated fee is determined by the package of information that is required - detailed on the A98b form attached. The fee package includes administrative and search time and costs. Emails will be sent encrypted to a secure email address; we cannot disclose information to a generic email address as this would be a breach of data protection legislation. Please provide a suitable email for disclosure purposes. Disclosures are sent password protected. |

Civil Litigation or Third-Party requests Should you require third party information for Civil Litigation purposes or information for Civil redress please kindly contact [email protected] as we can only provide third party information for the purpose of an insurance claim in the area of insurance. If you require third party details for insurance purposes and not for civil proceedings, please complete the attached form A97a and provide a fee of £111.70 with further proof regarding the intended use of that information. If third party details are requested, any third party maybe contacted to allow for legal objection to be made. It may be that a court order is required to compel disclosure. |
