I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act on burglary cases by Local Policing Area.
Please can I have this information for each of the past four calendar years (2023, 2022, 2021, 2020).
If your force does not use Local Policing Areas, please can you provide an equivalent local breakdown e.g. by local authority.

- For questions 1 and 2, a search was carried out of the Athena crime recording system all Crimes with Disposal date between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2023 and HMIC Crime Tree Level 3 equal to ‘BURGLARY – NON DOMESTIC’, ‘BURGLARY – DWELLING’, ‘'BURGLARY - BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY', 'BURGLARY - RESIDENTIAL', 'RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY-HOME', and 'RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY-UNCONNECTED BUILD'.
- For question 3, a search was carried out of the STORM incident recording system for ‘Burglary’ Final Call Type descriptions (Burglary Aggravated, Burglary Residential Dwelling, and Burglary Residential Non-Dwelling) between saved dates 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2023).
