The relevant Machete related crime records were obtained by specifying the Initial Modus Operandi Field as having a MATCHES PATTERN of ‘Machete’ or its variations. The Modus Operandi Code Level 3 Field was specified as a machete and also included as a filter.
The relevant Acid Attack related crime records were obtained by specifying the Initial Modus Operandi Field as having a MATCHES PATTERN of ‘Acid’ or its variations. The Crime ASB Keyword Field was specified as ‘Use of corrosive substance as a weapon’ and also included as a filter. The corrosive substance keyword seems to have been misused for drink spiking investigations too.
