Administration Fees for Recovered Vehicles
2016-2020
The total revenue in administration fees from motorists whose vehicles have been stolen or damaged and later recovered and those whose vehicles had to be recovered following an accident.
The fees separately between vehicles stolen, those which were damaged and those which were recovered from accidents.
The total number of vehicles which have been stolen and which had administration fees charged to them, the total number of vehicles damaged which had administration fees charged to them, and total number of vehicles recovered from accidents which had administration fees charged to them.
Could each request above be made for each calendar year for the last five years in which figures are available.

Having completed enquiries within Essex Police in respect of Section 1(1)(a), Essex Police does hold information relating to your request, Essex Police can confirm in respect of Section 1(1)(b) the following data:

The total revenue in administration fees from motorists whose vehicles have been stolen or damaged and later recovered and those whose vehicles had to be recovered following an accident. The fees separately between vehicles stolen, those which were damaged and those which were recovered from accidents.
Essex Police currently have a contract with the AADL Automobile Association Developments Ltd who manage our recovery scheme. The admin fee is payable on all vehicles where the statutory fees have been collected and that admin fee is payable to the AADL not to Essex Police.
The total number of vehicles which have been stolen and which had administration fees charged to them, the total number of vehicles damaged which had administration fees charged to them, and total number of vehicles recovered from accidents which had administration fees charged to them.
