Essex Police Pension Authority is committed to openness and transparency in its work and decision making. As part of that commitment, we maintain and publish a Register of Interests which draws together Declarations of Interest made by members of the Essex Police Pension Board. In addition, at the commencement of each board meeting, members of the Board are required to declare any interests.

Between the period 2001 and to 2011 the reassessment of degree of disablement (commonly referred to as injury award review) was conducted on a regular basis in respect of all eligible Essex Police injury benefit pensioners.
The Scheme Manager (Chief Constable) has a legal responsibility to recommence reassessment of the degree of disablement in respect of all eligible Essex Police injury benefit pensioners.
Within the pension pages you will see some useful guidance for injury benefit pensioners including:
- A flow chart showing the key steps to be applied in the reassessment process.
- A comprehensive briefing note explaining in detail the methodology and factors that may affect an injury benefit pensioner’s degree of disability.
All Essex Police injury benefit pensioners will be notified of the intention to recommence reassessment of degree of disablement (commonly referred to as reviews) by letter and provided with a copy of the briefing note and flow chart.
