Having completed enquiries within Essex Police in respect of Section 1(1)(a), Essex Police does hold information relating to your request, Essex Police can confirm in respect of Section 1(1)(b) the following data:

Yes, the provider is CIVICA.

What is the annual spend for this contract? When does the contract expire?

The annual spend is £32k.  The contract expires on 31 March 2027.

Is your authority moving towards an alternative fuel fleet? Or have already implemented an alternative fuel fleet and charging provider?

We are implementing a strategy to move to purchase electric vehicles in 2030.  We are introducing petrol hybrid engines for some of the fleet as an interim measure.  No provider has been appointed as yet for the charging infrastructure.

Is your fleet maintenance conducted in house? Externally outsourced? Or both?

The fleet maintenance is conducted in house.  Some external bodywork is outsourced.

Is the authority fleet owned, leased or hire?

The fleet is owned.
